House of Trinh Chili Crunch Popcorn
Ingredients:
1.5 tbsp hot oil (e.g., canola, vegetable, or peanut oil)
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
2 tbsp butter
Salt, to taste
Chili crunch (to taste)
Instructions:
Heat the Oil: In a heavy pot, heat 1.5 tbsp of hot oil over medium heat.
Add Popcorn Kernels: Once the oil is shimmering, add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels. Cover the pot with a lid, leaving it slightly ajar to allow steam to escape.
Add Butter and Salt: As popping begins, add 2 tbsp of butter and a pinch of salt. Reduce the heat to low and gently shake the pot to help the popcorn cook evenly.
Finish Popping: When the popping slows down to about 2-3 seconds between pops, turn off the heat. Carefully pour the popcorn into a large bowl.
Add Chili Crunch: Sprinkle chili crunch over the popcorn to taste, then toss gently to combine.
